ABOUT
Ayaka Notake is a Japanese born intimate apparel designer with 10 years of experience in the fashion industry of New York City.
Ayaka discovered her passion for lingerie at the Fashion Institute of Technology, choosing to specialize in intimate apparel for her BFA. Upon graduation, she was quickly recruited as an assistant designer at Victoria’s Secret, gaining invaluable experience from the industry giant. In 2012, she left VS to become the first hire and head lingerie designer at Fleur du Mal, and it was here that she had the opportunity to help shape a new category of attainable luxury lingerie, and expand beyond intimate apparel to swimwear, loungewear, and ready-to-wear. Her work has been featured in various editorials such as Vogue, The New York Times, Elle, GQ, and CR Fashion book.
Ayaka is currently based in Japan working as a design and development consultant for lingerie and ready-to-wear brands, domestically and internationally.
